Abu Halen is both a photographer and a writer yet magnanimously accepts no money from either venture. This is mostly because no one offers it, but still. Wisely, Abu Halen maintains a day job.

Hailing from Oregon, USA, he has lived the better part of the last twenty years abroad in the Middle East, Latin America, and India, raising four kids with his smart and cheery wife. They also cart around a little dog named Che, who doesn’t know anything but enjoys everything.
